ENGAGEMENT | Hill District Greenprint Nears Completion
After a year long community process, Find The Rivers!, a collaboration between Hill House Association, the Hill District Consensus Group, Community Partners Institute, and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, will unveil the Greenprint for the Hill District in June. Design consultants Hood Design, Studio for Spatial Practice, and Arup are working with Find the Rivers! to build on six years of work in the Hill, with cultural and planning events leading to community-driven design plans for corridors along Herron Avenue and Kirkpatrick Street, and Bedford Avenue and Cliff Street area. When completed in June, the Greenprint will recommend a series of strategic projects for implementation. Work is already underway on the first such project in the Woods: improvements to Cliffside Park's entrance and vista of Downtown. For more information, contact Susan Rademacher, Terri Baltimore, or Denys Candy or go to Find The Rivers! or Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy.
