GREEN | PARK(ing) Day Transforms Pittsburgh for 3rd Consecutive Year
On Friday September 17th, Pittsburgh streets will be getting a lot greener. PARK(ing) Day is an annual, one-day, international event in which artists, designers, activists and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform parking spots into "PARK(ing)" spaces. These park installations aim to transform urban environments designed for vehicle use into a communal space for public use. A group of volunteers is working with the CDCP and the Mattress Factory to organize and promote this event for the third year in Pittsburgh. Click here for more information. If you are interested in creating your own PARK(ing) space, please contact Andrea Lavin Kossis.
